Oldsmobile/Buick: Stalling out of the blue, ase certified mechanic, turning the key

Question
 Greetings,
I have a 89 Olds Ciera 3.3 V-6. It just cuts off at any time (idling or driving) at irregular times with no obvious pattern to it. While running it's smooth. After cutting off, sometimes it starts right back up and sometimes it doesn't do anything when turning the key. The RPM needle is buried all the way over and stays there. I have replaced the ECM, it ran for maybe a month without a problem then started cutting off again. I replaced the ECM with another one but the problem remains. When it cuts off it doesn't give any warning, it just feels like someone "pulls the plug" on it.  Any help would be really appreciated.                Mark

Answer
Mark ,

It could be any number of things , I wouldn't even know where to begin . Without me physically going over a checklist theres not much help I could give you .

Your best bet would be to take the car to an ASE certified mechanic . Most garages have diagnostic tools that can give a computer read as to what may be causing the "shut off" problems .

Mark if you have any more questions then please feel free to ask . Don't forget to rate my response to you .
