Pontiac: 63 Pontiac Tempest, pontiac tempest, fuel spray

Question
I have a 1963 Tempest with the 326ci.  I took it out cruising last year and after a whole night of driving with no problems, I parked it in the garage.  Now it won't start.  I have replaced the fuel pump, and can see the fuel spray into the carb barrels, and have also tried pouring fuel in the carb manually.  It doesn't even try to start.  I repalced the coil, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs also.  The coil wire has a good spark when held 1/4 inch from the block.  The plugs have a little spark when held against the block, it seems kind of weak to me but they are all the same.    I am getting very frustrated and also spending money without getting any results.    Again the car was running great the night I parked it, but there was a small fuel leak coming from the gasket of the fuel pump.  That is why I replaced it.  Any suggestions on where to go from here?

Answer
Your lifters may have bled down from sitting for a year and now they are not opening the valves. Also your spark does seem a little weak. Is your battery in good condition? If your battery is weak it will cut down the availiable spark needed to start the engine. Also it may not be cranking fast enough to pump up the lifters.
