Volkswagen: New Engine, diagnostic computer, air mass

Question
I am assuming that this is an easy fix after what I have already done.  Is that correct?  And what should I ask for?

Answer
you either need to take the car to someone or somewhere that has a suitable diagnostic computer to measure the injection commencement or air mass flow. otherwise you could try replacing the air mass meter yourself. it should have a part number on the underside of the unit. it is located on the air box and has a 5 or 6 pin connector on it. this is a common issue on all vw diesel engines. it should be classed as a air volume meter, or air mass meter, or MAF sensor.
