Volvo: PNP Switch, neutral safety switch, battery cables

Question
There might the Park Neutral Safety Switch be located on a 99 S80 T6?  Will I hurt the computer system if I bypass the safety switch to see if thats my problem? Ive already replaced the ignition switch and tested the starter. Could there be any other reasons that my car wont turn over? It was working fine a couple months a ago- put into storage, engine is not locked. Ive heard that the positive battery cables need to be relocated and get corroded.
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Dana,
The PNP is located on the trans. It is connected to the cable that runs from the shifter. It will not be easy to by pass so read the codes and see where they lead.
If your car is equipped with the immobilizer the antenna ring around the ignition lock maybe at fault. May also check to see if the ignition key can be reprogrammed to the car.
