Suzuki: 1995 suzuki sidekick trans issue, automatic transmission specialist, allison transmissions

hi i just bought a '95 sidekick 4x4,when its cold and i go to drive it, it will go into 1st and when it changes it wont go into 2nd, it just revs but when does catch it shifts up and downshifts fine and it doesn't slip at all, but when it sets again and cools off it does the same thing. could you tell me where i might could start finding the problem?

If this is an automatic transmission issue, you would need to see an automatic transmission specialist.  I long ago ceased to do automatic transmissions, except the Allison transmissions in heavy duty vehicles.  I've never been in a Suzuki automatic, and suspect that the only thing you might attempt is to drain the trans, remove the pan, and change the filter, refill it, and see what happens....
