Suzuki: 1995 SUZUKI SIDEKICK 1.6 16 VALVE, suzuki sidekick, engine parameters

Question
ENGINE RUNS BUT NOT WELL. HAS ABSOLUTELY NO POWER AND HAS GREAT HESITATION OR BOGS DOWN WHEN GIVEN GAS. TIMING WAS SET CORRECTLY. RUNS REALLY GOOD AND STRONG WHEN TIMING IS ADVANCED 40 DEGREES, BUT RUNS TOO HOT AND IDLES TOO FAST. CHANGED TPS AND THE COMPUTER WITH NO LUCK.

Answer
You need to go back and check ALL the most basic engine parameters, starting with compression, and cam timing.  Check EVERYTHING.  Think about whether this problem occurred just after something was worked on, or what.
Be aware that my field of expertise in Suzuki is limited to 8 valve carbureted Samurai.  I have never worked on nor owned any 16 valve Suzukis of that late a model year, and can only apply the basic knowledge of engines and fuel systems that any knowledgeable technician possesses.
