Tips on Buying Cars: Need advice asap, approch, waiting game

Question
Last night we signed a contract to purchase a used car for my daughter.  The dealership was closing and everyone was in a rush.  Today, we realized over $8,000 was added on to the original $10,000 price.  We are willing to accept that as our fault, however my question is this: The vehicle has a decal that goes around the car.  We were promised (but not in writing) it would be removed and buffed, so we left it here for them to do that.  Upon calling today, we were told that to remove the decal would scratch the car.  I reminded them of their promise as that seemed to me, part of the deal.  The sales manager than proceeded to say that they would remove the decal, but not responsible for scratches.  I told them if it was scratched, we wouldnt take the vehicle.  We are supposed to go pick it up within the hour.    Do we have a legal right to get out of this contract if the decal is still on or if the vehicle was scratched taking it off?  PLease reply asap, as we have to pick it up soon.  My email is: sevenstarsandme@yahoo.com or phone number is 609-972-3766.  Thank you very much.

Answer
Hi Bonnie

It's 6,30am your time so i decided not to phone you, as for legal rights if its not written it becomes sticky.

As for removing the decal the dealer is trying to talk their way out of a small expense to have it removed with a heat gun and then buffed.
I have never seen a decal being removed where the scratches could not be buffed out with the tools at hand today.
Try and use the approch under no circumstances will you take delivery and play the waiting game, if no satisfaction is reaches send me an email through my website address   http://www.usedcartips.org/dents.html  and I will make contact SAP
