It is in very good shape, he showed me pictures of how it was damaged, and to me it was not a huge damage. I would like your advice about the price, I tried negotiating but nothing. He wanted $8,500, so he just dropped it $500. I have been looking around, but most of the ones I have seen have a lot of milage, and if they don't, then they cost about $5,000 and more. ANSWER: I'm looking at autotrader.com and see an avg price around 9900 to 10'900 in my area for XLT's and Eddie Baurs with similar miles clean titles? Rule of thumb is whatever the value is, you cut it by 50% with a recon title. That is what will happen when you try to trade it in, you have to disclose it has a recon title. I would ask to see the body shop bill/itemized of what repairs were done. Usually it from the frame being damage, which can cause a lot of tire wear. What is so special about this car, is it an Eddie Baur, 4 wheel drive, TV's, etc... What is your zip code and how far would you drive for a good deal?
