Tips on Buying Cars: help, cause suspicion, finance mgr

hi there. i need help ASAP. i went on the weekend to braman BMW to lease a 1 series or a mini cooper S hardtop. i finally decided for the mini but when they checked my credit score they said it was good but the history was too short or something like that because i started to build my credit like a year ago. my boyfriend tried to help me but his situation was almost the same. i feel very depressed because i really want the car i can pay for it. i don't know what to do so if you can please help me!!! thanks for your attention. kind regards

  I have talked with my guys a at BMW and they are telling me even if you have a 700 or better beacon score the banks want more money down and are basically looking at things a lot harder. Don't get down on your credit, it's just the times we are going through. I recently had an attorney, who made $250k a year, no bank wanted to give him a loan because of his debt ratio and he had 6 cars and 2 houses paid off, he ended up doing in house financing with us.
  A couple of questions. I need to know, What is on your credit, who do you bank with and how much money are you working with, do you have any type of CD's or savings. Where and who have you applied with?
  DO NOT go to any dealers and just hand them a credit application, There are dealers who will send your application to every bank they have, sometimes this can lead to 15 bank inquires on your credit and it will lower your score and cause suspicion with other banks, they will see the inquiries and start asking themselves, why aren't these other banks giving her a loan. A good finance Mgr knows who will do the loan and send it to 2-3 banks. Everyone needs to interview with the finance director and ask them who they will send your application to and tell them you don't want it sent everywhere, they have guidelines from every bank telling them what they will except, debt ratio's, beacon scores, mthly income, yrs on job, etc...
