Towing Issues: repo, tow company, repo rates

hello, i have a quick question on tow company's. is there a limit to what they can charge for towing a vehicle? and when the police issue a release on the vehicle why does the tow company still refuse to tell you where the office is located?

Well the subject says REPO, but I am wondering why the police need to issue a release.  Strange to me...

Now I have to say that if it is repo'ed then the finance company will tell you where to get your belongings..

As to a limit of what a tow company can charge, do not confuse a REPO from a Private Property Impound (tow from a parking lot type tow) or a police ordered tow for DUI, Driver Arrest or accident tow...
In most cases REPO rates are not set or control except to how much the finance company wants to pay...

In some areas there are controls and regulations on what a tow company can charge for tows, but not everywhere... (hard to really answer with out more specific info)

You can do a search for "your state" towing regulations, and then one on "your city" towing regulations
