Tips on Buying Cars: NVH Ratings for Used Sedans, mercury marquis, northstar engine

We have been looking for a used sedan with a quiet ride, comparable to what our 99 Deville had. Want a front wheel drive, comparable trunk space to the Deville (or a Mercury Marquis), and NOT the Northstar engine. Don't want to face leaking seals when we hit the 150k mark.

Is there someplace I can go to find a NVH rating comparison between used sedans? Or can you suggest several models for us to test drive.

We have ridden in a DTS, Lucerne, Sable, and Chrysler 300, and have not been satisfied so far.

Thanks for your question.  I usually don't get into recommending any vehicles to anyone, as my taste are very different than yours.  Here is what I would do.  I would go to consumerreports.com, edmunds.com, and various other websites that can give you the data that you are looking for.  They will have all the reviews and advice you are looking for.  The ultimate deciding factor however is you.  You need to drive all the vehicles and make your decision that you are looking for.
