Used Cars: Buying a 2002 Honda Accord EX, general tires, honda accord ex

I'm interested in purchasing a used vehicle and I have my eye on a 2002 Honda Accord Ex but the current miles are 124,056. For the year, do you think the mileage is to high? And also, what do you think is a good asking price?

You can almost never go wrong with a Honda Accord. My advice is always have a second opinion, take the car to a mechanic and pay a little for a inspection/opinion of how the car is. Remember they can go a little over board with what has to be fixed, keep an open mind because they are hoping you will do the work with them. I would ask the seller if they have any maintenance records? The miles are OK, You can get a lot of miles out of a vehicle like this if they have been properly maintained up to now. As far as the asking price I would go to edmunds.com, go to used car values and put in your Zip Code, they will show you what cars like that are bringing from trade in at the dealer to what private sellers are selling them for and what dealers are selling them for. The sight is very user friendly. I would think the car is worth $2800 to $4000, depends on how many owners,condition of car in general, tires, windshield,any paint work and maintenance records etc... A MUST is "Get a Second Opinion".If there is nothing to hide, they will let you take it to a mechanic. Good Luck, if you need more, let me know.
