Have your valid driving license and your debit or credit card handy. You may also need your Theory Test pass date and certificate number.
Visit the DirectGov website and click on "Motoring."
Click "Do It Online" from the list of options in the middle of the screen.
Select "Book Your Practical Driving Test Online." Ensure that you have chosen the Practical Driving Test booking option, as there are several different booking options available.
Click "Start Booking" between 6 am to midnight to book the driving test.
From the drop box, select what kind of vehicle you drive followed by "Next."
Select from the drop box if you are special needs, need an extended retest and if your car is an automatic or semi-automatic gear shift. Click "Next."
Enter in your driving license number, your Theory Test pass certificate number (if applicable), the date you passed the Theory Test, your surname and your date of birth. Click "Next."
Book your test online and pay the fee by using your debit or credit card online. Click "Next" to finish.
