How to Replace a 2007 Honda CR-V Interior Spotlight

The interior spotlight on your 2007 Honda CR-V, also known as a map light or dome light, is the light on the interior ceiling of the CR-V that illuminates the passenger compartment. If you wish to install a new light, you will need a replacement 194LL bulb. You should wear gloves when performing this procedure as oils from your bare hands can cause the formation of "hot spots" on the bulb's surface, ruining its performance.

Things You'll Need

  • Gloves
  • Socket wrench
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • 194LL bulb
  • Put on clean gloves. Turn off the CR-V's engine and open its hood. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery terminal with a socket wrench.

  • Pry off the lens from the interior spotlight with a flathead screwdriver.

  • Pull the old bulb straight out of its socket and install a replacement bulb by pushing it into the socket.

  • Snap the lens back onto the spotlight. Reattach the negative cable to the battery terminal and close the hood.
