How to Remove the Window in a Chevy Venture

The windows on your Chevrolet Venture are important safety components of your vehicle, as they provide protection against the weather. If one of the windows on your Venture breaks, you should replace it as soon as you can. Removing a window from your Venture is a simple process, but you do need to remove the inner door frame before removing the window.

Things You'll Need

  • Slotted screwdriver
  • Philips screwdriver
  • Open the door and remove the eight pins along the inner door frame's edge. These pins can be popped right out by prying them up with a slotted screwdriver.

  • Use the slotted screwdriver to pry out the door's arm rest panel. Remove the four clips around the panel and pull it off the door.

  • Snap off the trim covers and remove the screws retaining the assistant strap with a Philips screwdriver.

  • Remove the two screws securing the lower edge of the inner door frame and the two screws securing the upper part of the frame.

  • Unfasten the window electrical connection retainer and unplug the connection. Then remove the window switch panel. Pull the door frame off the door.

  • Remove the window's front channel top screw with the Philips screwdriver. Slide the window right out of the door by pulling it upwards and off the Venture's door.
