How to Adjust the Headlights on an Olds Intrigue

The Oldsmobile Intrigue comes out of the factory with the headlamp system already adjusted properly. If you are involved in an accident, the headlamps may be moved out of place, in which case they need to be readjusted. The Intrigue has horizontal and vertical aim indicators equipped on its headlamp assembly. Adjusting the headlights requires a Torx screwdriver to rotate the adjustor screws. The goal is to adjust the bubble in the indicator to line up with the "0" on the glass surface of the indicator.

Things You'll Need

  • Socket wrench
  • Torx screwdriver
  • Turn off the Intrigue's engine. Open the hood.

  • Remove the negative cable from the battery.

  • Rotate the adjustment screws until the bubble on the indicator above the headlamp assembly is centered at the "0" mark. There are two indicators and two adjustment screws: one for the vertical alignment and one for the horizontal alignment. Adjust both to the correct position.

  • Reconnect the negative cable terminal to the battery and close the hood.
