How to Reset Factory Installed Sirius Radio Tuner in a 2006 Dodge

On many new vehicles, the factory installs a Sirius-branded satellite radio. Your 2006 Dodge could have a Sirius radio depending on the trim package you picked. The Sirius logo printed on the front of the radio indicates you have one. Sirius gives you the ability to receives a satellite radio signal to your vehicle. There is only one to complete a factory reset on the Sirius radio.

Things You'll Need

  • Socket set
  • Radio security code
  • Pull the hood release latch, lift the engine hood and set it on the hood prop.

  • Loosen the nut that secures the negative battery cable onto the negative battery terminal using a socket and ratchet. Pull the cable off the battery terminal for one minute. This removes power to the radio.

  • Place the negative battery cable back onto the battery terminal and tighten the bolt using a socket and ratchet. This reconnects power to your Sirius radio and completes the reset.

  • Turn the radio on and enter the radio anti-theft security code into the radio to enable it. The code is usually in the owner's manual or on a sticker inside the glove box. If you do not have the code, contact your dealership. They can obtain it for you.
