To keep your vehicle performing in top fashion, you need to clean the fuel-injection system. After you change the inline fuel filters, add fuel injection cleaner to your gas tank to keep down deposit buildup. Ask your local auto-parts retailer which product is the proper fuel injection cleaner for your vehicle.
Start with an almost empty tank of gas.
Unscrew the top of the fuel injection cleaner bottle and remove the foil seal.
Open the gas tank and place a funnel inside the hole. Pour half a bottle of fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank. Remove the funnel.
Fill the tank about half way with gas. Put the funnel back in the tank and pour in the rest of the fuel injector cleaner. Top off the tank with gas.
