How to Quiet a Polaris RZR

Make your Polaris RZR run quieter by installing an aftermarket muffler or adding a silencer to the existing muffler. Engine performance may improve by replacing your existing muffler with a Mega Power Silencer by Aaen Performance although the price may exceed some budgets. Add-on silencers claim to have no detrimental effect on engine performance, and they could be more cost-effective. Install a Benz Silent Rider to quiet your Polaris Ranger RZR equipped with a rear brush guard.

Things You'll Need

  • Power drill with a 5/16-inch bit
  • Assorted wrenches
  • Install the Benz Silent Rider silencer by first removing the bolt from the bottom of the factory tail-pipe. This bolt holds the spark arrestor in place and will no longer be needed. Remove the spark arrestor from the tail pipe if it is loose. If not, leave it in place.

  • Slide the silencer onto the factory tailpipe. The hangers on the silencer will line up with the cross-bar of the rear brush guard. Mark the places where holes will be drilled in the bottom of the cross-bar. Remove the silencer and drill the holes.

  • Reposition the silencer with the hanger holes lined up with the newly drilled ones. Install the bolts provided with the silencer and tighten them.
