How to Install a Headlamp in a 2007 Honda Pilot

When the headlights burn out on your 2007 Honda Pilot, it is a common response to rush to a service center to have it replaced. You can save a substantial amount on the cost of a repair center by replacing the bulbs at home. Your 2007 Pilot uses a 9005 headlight bulb available at auto parts stores. Change the bulb at home to be back on the road in minutes and ensure your safety in lower light conditions.

  • Raise the hood of your Pilot and rest it on the support bar. Squeeze the sides of the electrical connection on the rear of the bulb assembly and pull the connector apart.

  • Grasp the bulb assembly and turn it ¼-turn counterclockwise. Pull the bulb straight out of the headlight assembly. Insert the new bulb into the headlight assembly and turn it ¼-turn clockwise to secure it.

  • Press the electrical connection back onto the bulb until it clicks into place. Repeat the process on the opposite light if necessary. Close the hood and test the lights to be sure they work properly.
