How To Change The Tail Light Bulb on a 2007 Mustang

After awhile, the tail light bulb in your 2007 Ford Mustang will burn out. However, there's no need to take your car to a mechanic to fix it for you. You can get a replacement bulb at any auto parts store and easily replace the bulb yourself.

Things You'll Need

  • Replacement bulb
  • Owners manual
  • Turn off the headlamp switch inside the car. Make sure the car is turned off as well.

  • Open the trunk.

  • Remove the clips located around the tail lamp assembly area and take out the interior trunk trim.

  • Pull the electrical grommet straight off the lamp assembly. This disconnects the grommet.

  • Unfasten the three nuts and washers around the lamp assembly and take it out of the trunk.

  • Rotate the bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it.

  • Remove the bulb from the bulb socket by pulling it straight out.

  • Put in the new bulb.

  • Replace the tail light assembly by reversing the order of the previous steps.
