Ford equipped your 2011 Fusion with one of three engines: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, a 3.5-liter V-6 or a 3.0-liter V-6 flex-fuel engine. Use the message center buttons to reset the oil life message after you change the oil in your Fusion. Press and release the "Setup" button once to display “Oil Life XXX% Hold Reset = New” -- the "XXX%" indicates the percentage of life remaining until the oil need changing. Press and hold the "Reset" button for two seconds to rest the percentage to "100%.".
When changing the oil, also replace the oil filter with Ford part No. FL-910S for the 2.5-liter engine or No. FL-500-S if you have either of the V-6 engines, or an equivalent filter. The 2.5-liter engine holds 5.3 quarts of oil, the 3.0-liter holds 6 quarts and the 3.5-liter holds 5.5 quarts. Use an SAE 5W-20 oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C930-A. You may use a synthetic oil or a synthetic-blend oil as long as it meets the Ford specification.
