How to Save Money when buying TIRES

If you want to save BIG BUCKS when buying tires. Here is how to get the best deal

Things You'll Need

  • computer
  • a little time
  • the balls to walk into a tire shop & ask for the LOWEST PRICE
  • Go online & shop for tires at 3 or 4 tire shops that are in your area. Find the best deal on your size of tire. look to see if any are offering a BUY 3 GET 1 FREE SALE,

  • Drive to the shop that has the lowest price & get a printed quote for the size of tire you want, Ask for at least a 50000 mile rated tire. with all the mounting , balancing , disposal fees & a life time protection plan. Make sure you get the OUT THE DOOR price.

  • Drive to the other tires stores in your area & show them the printed quote & see if they will beat that price. Most big tire companies have policy where they will meet or beat a printed quote from their local competitors.

  • Drive from one to another having them print you a quote beating the last tire shops price. They may not be able to beat the price but they will meet the price & end up giving you a quote on a better tire. Do this a few times & you will save HUNDEREDS or dollars

  • I did this today, It went so well I had to write an article tell you all how I did it. I got Evans tire , Discount Tire , Big-O tire, Wal-mart & Firestone in a bidding war. The highest price I got was $785.94 at Wal-mart. I finally got firestone to sell me a set of 60,000 mile tires , Mounted , Balanced & I got the life time protection plan for $458.73 out the door. I saved $327.27 on a NEW set of tires for my 2003 Ford Expedition.

  • Here is a way to save & even make a few $$$ , If your old tires are still have some OK condition with tread left on them. Tell the tire guy you want the old tires, that will save you $7 to $10 each disposal fee. Like I said only do this if the tires are still in OK shape. Take the tires home & post them on CRAIGSLIST for $10 or $15 each... I did this , I listed 4 USED TIRES for $45. Within 4 hours someone called & came right over. He bought the used tires for $40. Not only did I not have to pay the tire shop to get rid of the old tires , but & made money selling them on CRAIGSLIST. So it all boils down to $418.73 for 4 brand new tires.

  • As i said eailer, MAKE SURE the printed quote is the OUT THE DOOR price with everything included ! ! !
