Are AC Delco Spark Plugs Safe to Use on a 1994 GMC Suburban?

In 1994, the GMC Suburban had a pair of gasoline V-8 engines available: a 5.7-liter with 200 horsepower and 300 foot-pounds of torque, and a 7.4-liter with 230 horsepower and 385 foot-pounds of torque. When doing a tuneup on either engine, AC Delco spark plugs are not only safe to use, but they are the brand of plug that GMC prefers.

Spark Plugs

  • For either engine, GMC recommended using AC Delco No. CR43TS spark plugs in the 1994 Suburban. You can, however, use a different brand of plug, as long as they are equal or greater quality. The 1994 GMC requires a spark plug gap of 0.045 inches.
