The Quik Flip is a high-quality, easy-to-install upgrade for any vehicle-especially for those into which we've invested a bunch of cash, blood, sweat, and tears. The heart of the Quik Flip Master Battery Disconnect is a solenoid assembly with the capacity to carry as much as 600 amps for a full 30 seconds, and 100 amps continuously. While it requires no constant juice to remain engaged, it still allows the retention of your clock and/or computer memory. A harness designed specifically for use with the unit, complete with an easily concealed momentary switch, is included with the Quik Flip kit.
Including a battery/electrical cutoff switch as part of your rod's electrical system is a worthwhile choice. Not only will it negate the need to disconnect your battery cable every time you need to futz with the electrical system or put the vehicle away for a couple of weeks, but it'll go a long way as a theft deterrent, as well.
Choosing a good-quality cutoff switch is a must, because those low-buck cheapies are definitely not the way to go. Saving a couple of dollars in this respect could, in the worst case, cause you to watch your investment go up in smoke.
