No one can argue the fact that Volkswagen made all the right moves when it came to the inception of the Gen-IV Golf. German engineers put tremendous thought into the styling of the already-infamous hatchback with special emphasis on the engine, suspension, and interior treatments. But as with most factory-built sports cars, upgrades are plentiful—and the GTI is no exception.

Take Neuspeed for example. Based in Camarillo, California, Neuspeed offers VW owners an array of performance aftermarket equipment designed to enhance driving pleasure. More so, Neuspeed’s commitment to quality, performance and value has been track-proven in racing venues worldwide. Neuspeed’s continual testing and fine-tuning of performance components ensures only the finest parts ever see your vehicle.

For the GTI, Neuspeed picked up where the Volkswagen engineers left off. The use of quality products from top companies such as Bilstein, Toyo, and ABT, not to mention Neuspeed’s own line of suspension and performance products, helps create that neutral handling bliss that is the ultimate feel when driving a true sports car through a turn.

The German manufactured drop springs offered by Neuspeed provide Volkswagen owners a true performance stance without sacrificing comfort and driveability. To keep the GTI as level as possible, mandrel-bent 6150 steel 25/28mm Neuspeed antisway bars were installed for and aft. The Neuspeed oversized bars come complete with urethane bushings, custom-crafted brackets and grade-8 hardware to ensure a quality fitment. Assisting in the antiflex department is a tubular upper strut support that strengthens the unibody chassis. Contributing to Neuspeed’s ability to make the Golf IV handle exceptionally well is a set of 18x8 ABT alloy wheels wrapped in Toyo 225/35-18 rubber.

We were able to pull off the installation in less than three hours, and you can do it at home as well. For further information, contact Neuspeed, 805/388-8111, www.neuspeed.com.
