2009 Ford Flex - Ford CGS Reflex - Tech

2009 Ford Flex center Console   |   2009 Ford Flex center Console Late model truck and SUV interiors have become more stylish recently with sculptured dashes, waterfall flowing center consoles dividing the front bucket seats, and many SUV middle row bucket seats are also separated with a center console. Door panels have become more three dimensional instead of just flat panels, but as always, there is room for improvement over the budget-minded manufacturers. To enhance these properties of the interior we can now install majestic patterns accenting previous mono-color interior pieces and unexciting panels. The CGS SEMA Ford ReFlex project was going to receive some dash, door panel, and center console decorative treatments that will give the retro interior a new appearance and we were there to check out the process. Mike O'Leary, at Auto Extras in Anaheim, California, was going to be transforming the Flex's factory maple wood grain trim into a vibrant black maple wood grain. An intense process is used to transform interior panels into any shade of the rainbow. The interior dash, cen ter console, and door panel interior door handle cups of the CGS Flex SEMA project were delivered to Auto Extras where they would receive a "Black Maple" wood grain coating. Mike was kind enough to allow us to observe some of his interior refinishing process. These decorative finishes can be applied to many different surfaces; steering wheels, wheels, air intake covers, and many more. To add to the entertainment and elegance of the ReFlex interior Casey Scranton at CGS installed a pair of TMI VizuaLogic 9-inch monitor headrests to the driver and passenger seats. From The Driver SeatAs we witnessed the process of transforming factory maple wood grain interior trim pieces into "Black Maple" at Auto Extras, it made you appreciate every piece's individual beauty. After installing the exotic wood grain trim pieces, they really enhanced and mellowed the overall interior dcor. With the addition of the VizuaLogic 9-inch monitor headrests to the driver and passenger seats, the back seat passengers will receive high quality remote DVD entertainment.
