Another cool turbo at SEMA was this Switchblade exhaust housing that was outfitted to an HE351 (common-rail Dodge) turbocharger. It had an 18cm2 housing that spooled like the factory 9cm2 unit by using a huge single vane to direct flow directly to the turbine wheel. Drive pressure dropped by 30 psi at the same 40-psi boost level, and the turbo was able to achieve its first pound of boost in just 3/10 second.
