Auto Insurance Claims: Bodily Injury reasonably expectations in California, better business bureau, value calculator

Question
Mr Hixenbaugh,
In the year of 2008 I was rear ended at about 25 MPH while I was parked. Total medical bills $22,500 for whip lash Lost Wages $36,000
I seem to be reasonably recovered from my injuries. How should I factor in pain and suffering.
Will I have to repay the hospital for my medical bills or does the insurance company pay the hospital direct.  Should I ask the adjuster to make me an offer then speak with an attorney to determine if the offeris reasonable or would  I be better served to use the services of an attorney.  What other factors should I consider before settling
Thank You
Tom

Answer
Hi Tom,

There is a great website you should visit: www.collisionwizard.com . The website is produced by the Better Business Bureau Video Series. It will allow you to enter all of the info about your treatment and expenses, etc.. and will help you put together a demand letter and even has a claim value calculator to help you see an appropriate range for the total value of your claim. Best of all it only costs $19.99.

I hope this helps
