Auto Insurance Claims: Coverage for Compromised brake system, auto insurance company, rubber seals

Question
Would repairs in this situation be covered by either Auto Comprehensive coverage or Homeowners insurance? Yesterday I suddenly experienced severe brake problems and had my vehicle towed to a repair service.  The mechanic says the brake fluid has been contaminated with a petroleum product causing swelling of rubber seals in the break hydraulic system and all hydraulics are compromised.  I have not had any work done lately.  The car was last serviced in December at the dealership (where all work has been done) It had a regular lube and fluids were checked by the dealership mechanic as part of regular servicing. If the  mechanic erred, it would have been accidental.  Although I see no evidence of vandalism, I do park at a park-and-ride when carpooling.  Tampering is certainly possible.  The repair estimate is $3,375.07 and includes replacement of the master cylinder, the ABS control unit, resurfacing of front and rear rotors, replacement of front and back brakes pads, calipers, hoses.

Answer
Hi Nancy,
Your homeowners policy would never provide any auto coverage except for loose personal items that may be stolen from the car.
You should make a full report to your auto insurance company so they can thoroughly inspect the damage and determine if it can be covered under comprehensive.
No one can state whether or not there is coverage until after a full inspection.
I hope this information is of help.
Your feedback by rating my answer will be appreciated.
Sincerely,
