Auto Insurance Claims: rental, comparable vehicle, thay

Yukon damage by another driver.  Unsafe to drive.  Does other driver's insurance have to provide vehicle to drive while ours is being fixed?  And if yes, can we require a similar vehicle?

Hi Ed,

You are entitled to a rental car if yours is unsafe to drive. Some companies do not do a direct bill. Instead thay reimburse you when you present a paid bill. You are entitled to a "comparable vehicle". However, comparable does not mean the same vehicle, it means a vehicle with the same function and utility. That means a vehicle that can carry the same number of people and get you from point A to point B. If you have a large family of use the vehicle in your work, you can argue for a similar type of vehicle.
