Auto body repair & detailing: 01 corolla passenger mirror repair, auto glass shop, passenger mirror

Question
My parents own a 2001 corolla and they manage to knock the passenger side power mirror off its mount.  The glass is fine and the electric motor seems okay.  I wanted to know how can I re-mount the mirror back.  There is a rubber pad with little tabs behind the mirror assembly, but when I push the mirror back into the pad, nothing happens.  I don't know the type of corolla. (LE, CE etc) It is a four door, the mirrors are painted to match the body color and there are speakers mounted on the inside of the car opposite the mirror mounting.

Answer
The mirror is cheap and easy to replace, other than the paint. Nine times out of ten, the mirror will not go back together. Take it to a body shop or auto glass shop just to make sure. Usually, you will be missing a part or two that you can not buy. If all the parts are there, the shop can snap it back in for you. Try the auto glass shop first, they will be cheaper.
For a new, after market part, go to www.rockauto.com and a used part, maybe even the right color, go to www.car-part.com.
