QUESTION: hi,
I have to replace the driver side view mirror, and just bought a new one but I
can't figure out how to take off the old one.

ANSWER: Hi Megan,

Most vehicles will disassembly in different ways. To be quiet honest I'm not sure how yours will disassemble. They typically bolt on from inside the door. You may need to remove the door panel to access the bolts or nuts. Be cautious before you remove the door panel because most manufacturers use plastic retainers to hold the panel on. Most likely you will break these retainers when you try and remove the panel. Best advice is to have replacement retainers on hand before you remove the panel so you will be able to reassemble the door. You might consider taking it to a local body shop and asking what they would charge you to put the mirror on for you. Most often it's not as expensive as you might think.
