Auto body repair & detailing: Toyota Corolla 2008 side mirror, 2008 toyota corolla, bottom of the mirror

The side mirror (just the mirror itself) was jacked from our 2008 Toyota corolla. I found a 2007 mirror assembly that seems like it would fit but is the wrong color. First, does it fit? Second, since I don't want to pay to repaint, can I just switch out the mirror or the interior mechanism without taking it to a body shop?

I do not have any data on this car, it is too new. If you are real careful, usually, you can snap out the glass and snap it back in. I don't like doing this because I have broken a few. Look in the bottom of the mirror, sometimes there are screws you can disassemble that way. Call the dealer to see if the mirrors are the same, also go online to try and find an after market part.
