Auto body repair & detailing: Flooroard replacement, jc witney, tnks

Question
Hello John, hope you and the kids had a nice time with Mickey.  I have a 1989 Firebird, and the floorboard is rusted through from the T-tops leaking.

Does this usually mean replaing the floorboard, and if it does, is it very expensive?  Is there a way that I can tell if the car is still safe to drive?  I don't want to fall through while driving down the highway.

Thank you in advance.

Answer
tnks for the mickey thing 1st hada ball . well it count on how bad the floors are . you should be able to find replacment panels from like jc witney or keystone. they come in sections you can panel bond them on over the holes justcut out the rust or replace them as a unit and weld them in  this is more of a pain to do. as far as drivin it if your feet look like fred flinstones car no i would not drive it of there are just small holes in it give it a couple of stomps to make sure it not going to fall out .  good luck
