Car Stereos: dvd system, fm modulator, electricity lines

Hi, I have 2006 Uplander van. got installed DVD System. To hear the system on van speakers i have to set on FM 89.1. While I am driving from some areas I get interruption. How do I set on Fm station so, I can hear DVD without any interruption ?

Sounds like your DVD system is running off an FM modulator which means it transmits to your radio on a certian frequency, in your case, 89.1.  Unfortunately, there is no way to really change the clarity or reception on a unit like that.  As you're driving, certain things in the environment (phone poles, electricity lines, etc) can break up your reception.  The only way to get a perfect connection is to get a direct connection.  I'd go to an install shop like Circuit City or Best Buy, and ask if they have something compatible.  Other than that, there isn't much you can do.  Sorry!
