Auto Parts: LS400 1992, lexus ls400, alignment specs

Question
Hi Mike,
I live in Kenya and just got an old 1992 Lexus LS400. We drive on the left side of road here(right-hand drive). I wanted to replace the shock absorbers and bushes but wanted to know if they're compatible with an other car maybe japanese(earlier or later).
Thanks

Answer
No, the Lexus LS400 is a unique model.  It is made in Japan, and they do make a right-hand-drive version for the Asian, African, and British markets.  I don't know if the suspension parts would be different for right-hand drive.  My guess is that they're the same, but the alignment specs would be different to account for the crown in the road.  If parts are hard to come by in Kenya, they should be readily available in South Africa and also in the Arabian countries that use right-hand-drive.  There is also a shipping service that makes shipping to developing countries easier, although I don't know that you'd need it there.  It's http://www.aramex.com/shopandship/Default.aspx
