Auto Parts: Engine Swap, buick skylark, vin code

Question
Will a quad from a 1994 Buick Skylark bolt up to a 1994 Grand Am Trans? And how many more miles could I get out of the engine from the Skylark if it has 135K on it

Answer
Will it bolt to the transmission?  Yes, it will.  Is the Grand Am already equipped with a Quad Four (assuming that's what you meant by "quad")?  If the answer is no, then you probably will have a very difficult time.  Even if it is, they used two different versions of the Quad Four, one with VIN code "D" and one with VIN code "3."  I don't know what the detail differences between these two engines are, to be frank, but if they are different you would have to do a little study to find out the details and bring the other parts over from the donor car, including the ECM.  If they have the same VIN code for the engine (eighth digit, counting form the left), then you can just swap what you want, they're the same car.  However, unless it has been extremely well cared for, that 135K engine is not likely to go much further with out something breaking.  These engines were not famous for their longevity.
