Auto Parts: Honda Accord 2000, honda accord, trunk light

My honda accord trunk, in the past year, would open on it's own.  I'm driving and the trunk just opens.  When I tried to close it down the lock would not close.  I would pull the wire to the left of the lock to completely open the latch all the way and have to shut it down several times before it somewhat holds.  Some days it would open by itself 2-3 times.  Any suggestions? (Trunk light does not always show it being open)

Either the multiplex module is malfunctioning (I would think more than one item would malfunction if this were the case but not always) or there is a short somewhere in the system.

My advise would be to either have it looked at by a reputable technician in your area or disable the 'auto-open/keyless entry' feature and just use the key when ya want to get into the trunk.
