Car Alarms: I cant start car because of car alarm!!, honda accord ex, honda accord

I have a 1997 Honda Accord EX with a aftermarket car alarm...I do not know what type of alarm it is and do not have remote for alarm....I accidentally left key in ignition with power on for at least 2 hrs today...now I cant start my car as it seems something happened with the alarm that put it in "safe mode" and whenever I try to turn the key in ignition it doesnt start car...The car alarm itself also seems to be not functioning anymore...It is not a dead battery that is causing this as I tested that...The car radio, lights, etc still work with key in ignition..the car just wont start...I am sure that somehow the key left in ignition for such a long time caused this...Somehow the alarm system thinks I am still trying to steal the car...what is best way to at least get car to start? Thx for help
