Car Alarms: theres an alarm?!?, 1995 chevy lumina, negative battery cable

Question
i had to replace my power steering pump which required the disconnection of the negative battery cable, after reconnecting the battery the alarm started going off. first of all, i didn't even know the car HAD an alarm. my car, a 1995 Chevy Lumina 3.1L engine, won't even start to see if the pump is working properly. what do i need to do or have done in order to get my car to start, preferably W/O the alarm. im a 24 yr old employed mother of 3 preschool children and i need to get my vehicle running (needless to say).

Answer
Bypassing the VATS/PASSKEY 2
(CHEVY VATS= Vehicle Anti Theft System)

I understand this situation better than most and do have
a solution for this problem. The issue is PASSKEY 2/VATS.
It's the faulty designed, fuel rail cut off circuit in
the ignition switch. Over time, it wares out and starts
acting this way. You need to bypass it. In your
case, it may have lost information when they
powered down the car.

I know it's very annoying for owners of GM vehicles,
having to constantly deal with this issue.  :>(

So let's fix that.

Not too hard to do if you've ever done
Car stereo or, Car alarm work, or know someone who has.

If not, don't be proud! Allot of people won't do this work,
Locate someone who does INSTALL car alarms and
remote starters as this is right up they're alley!

Either way, the PLJX bypass kit is what you need here
for remote starter applications or in your case,
to terminate your VATS system for good so you can start
your vehicle at anytime.

The only thing you need for this to work is:

THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE MUST BE
ABLE TO START AND RUN FOR AT LEAST
1 MINUTE TO ALLOW FOR THE PLJX MODULE
TO BE PROGRAMMED!

However, if this is NOT your situation,
and the engine cranks & tries but does NOT turn
over or, it will not start at all now, then you would
also need 2 relays and sockets, plus the proper resistor
to get it to crank and start and keep running,

THEN you would install the self learning PLJX module
to KEEP VATS from ever engaging again.
So to sum it up, this will help as long
as you can follow instructions & directions
and can have this interfaced correctly to solve
the "NO START" issue.

(We suggest taking it to a local car alarm
remote starter/stereo installer to have this
done as GM service WILL NOT do it.

They're interest is in FIXING the VATS
issue, not circumventing,  getting around or,
bypassing it for you. There's no money
in that for them!)

And that's really all there is to it.
Once purchased, I will forward all working
notes for your vehicle to study prior to installation,
and it will be shipped within 24 hours by
3 day priority mail.

When ready, click or copy, cut n paste / type in
the link below that best fits your situation:

If the vehicle's engine tries to crank, but does NOT engage/
turn over. You will need both the bypass kit, and
the relay application to get it started and bypassed
for good.

HOWEVER...
If your vehicle's engine can start, even after waiting
10 minutes before it will crank over on it's own,
you need the PLJX bypass kit by itself. 64.95.
