Car Alarms: transponder key bypass, wire harnesses, ford taurus

Question
QUESTION: I came across an article someone has asked about bypassing the transponder key on a 1999 ford ranger. I printed that page, but I have a 2002 ford taurus, and has lost the keys. your article stated that, get two keys cut, buy a universal bypass module. what are the 2 keys for. then it says wrap the coil around the key cylinder, and secure. can u be a little more specific, is it a separate piece of wire, or is this wire attached to the bypass module?  would you happen 2 have a picture diagram? thanks chip

QUESTION: thank you so much for posting the picture, and thank you for your valuable time, but i still dont get it. from the posted picture diagram, am i correct to say that, you still need a transponder key to make this work?, or do you get 2 plain keys, and wrap them accordingly and secure the xtra key where, on the steering somewhere? how do you route the wires to the spdt relay? do you remove it or what? what i am asking is , using this method, you will not need a TRANSPONDER key, is that correct? thank you so much, chip

Answer
Yes you will need a transponder key to wrap and
place under the dash. Then any key cut to the ignition switch should operate
as if there was no PATS in this car at all.

As far as the relay wiring, carefully place this wire tied close
to the ignition to existing wire harnesses
where you are working to avoid any problems.
