Car Alarms: alarm for Chevy Cobalt?, chevy cobalt, door locks

I purchased a 2009 manual Chevy Cobalt. Nice little car - enjoy it very much so far.  I want to put an alarm in it.  Almost nothing in the car is automatic.  Even the door locks are manual :)  I'm a newbie to installing alarms on a car but I can change an outlet in my home. I see this alarm at Amazon which is pretty basic / simple.  My worry is - can something like this be installed in a Cobalt or am I going to find out that there is no easy way to do-it-yourself on that car.

Pretty easy noise generating alarm. It's originally a Designtech
piece, but if you want something easy to do, go ahead.

Would work on any car as it's attached to the battery directly.
But don't expect much from it.

It is what it is. a noise generating, battery drain perceiving,
base alarm. If wanting more protection, keep
looking because like most things, go cheap, get cheap.
