Car Alarms: cobra alarm, cobra alarm, car alarms

Question
I have a cobra alarm.  would not unlock doors and it had completely drained my car battery.  Red light blinking on dash.  had some accident damage done to my tailgate, and am wondering if something has been disturbed as I have read there are pin switch in tailgate. locking car just with key now and disconnected siren.  batterys had not gone in remotes.  only had problem since having my car back from garage, seems bit strange.

Answer
Sure Jayne, this damage could have something to do with it.

Car alarms detect perceptible battery drain to
make them trigger. If the damage caused opened
a constant circuit like a trunk (boot) light,
or, the interior has something "on", then this
needs repair quickly.

Again, locating the "new" drain on the Batt due to the accident
locate the "open ower" source. Also look at the relays
that control locking and unlocking as they draw 30 amps
of power and would most definately cause a dead battery.

Let me know what the mechanic discovers.

Good luck.
