Car Alarms: Anti-theft reset, gmc yukon denali, 2001 gmc yukon denali

Question
How do I reset the anti-theft in a 2001 GMC Yukon Denali?  Steering column has been replaced, and anti-theft mode will not disengage.

Short of putting the key in the ignition, turning
forward, just before cranking, and leaving it
that way for 10 minutes to learn the code, (does not
always work!) the only way I have listed for an 01 Yukon Denali,
is to add a basic remote starter and bypass
module from IFAR. This is the GMDAPK3 bypass kit.
NOT a normal PASSLOCK system in this car.
Most other PASSLOCK II system can use the PLJX kit only
to do this, but not your model.  :>(

For a basic system, that would bypass the PASSLOCK II and
add remote start to this vehicle is 160.00 here in
my store.

Unfortunately this one MUST also have a remote starter present
to work. Then the PASSLOCK is not an issue any longer.
