Car Alarms: Marksman M4 (purchased in 2003 for 02 Camry), dash area, optimal range

Question
One remote for my (2003) Marksman M4 system works but only very close to
the car and the other remote has no effect(even though it lights up on pressing
keys). I've tried new batteries to no effect. How can I get them to work?

Answer
I would re position the antenna on the brain under
the drivers side dash area, so that it is as
stretched out verticaly as possible, for optimal range.

If no joy, you may need to replace it an get a newer,
more capable one.
