Car Alarms: 2002 Nissan Pathfinder factory alarm issues, nissan pathfinder, horn siren

I have a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder.  We had an aftermarket viper alarm and remote starter installed in the vehicle.

Ever since that point, the factory alarm will "go off" randomly, and by "go off" I mean the headlights flash and the horn beeps.  We know it is the factory alarm because the viper alarm uses an entirely different horn/siren when the alarm is triggered.  

We cannot seem to find a common denominator in the situations when the factory alarm is triggered.  It tends to occur more often when the vehicle is parked at any kind of incline -- but it does not always happen when the vehicle is parked at an incline.  It generally happens later in the evening so it can be very annoying.  

Is there possibly some kind of interference between the viper alarm and the factory alarm?
