Car Alarms: 2007 Camry with passive engine disable key, keyhead, 2007 camry

My Girlfriend just bought a used camry and only has 1 key, and it a key with the built in remote.  We hate it.  We just went to get a key copied at a home store and they tested and says this has a Chip in it that means we have to go through the dealer. Is it possible to disable the need for this chipped key?  Can they make a separate chipped key from the remote fob?  I much prefer to have a simple metal key, she likes the plastic but that remote is ridiculous as a keyhead. Clearly, for my next car this will be a deal breaker.

It's possible, but you need the IM05 bypass module to do it.
This will take a decent technician, and both of the ignition keys
to program the module, but once done, a hardware store key
will be able to be used normally.

But it does need a good technician to get it right.
