Car Alarms: Alarm on 1996 Ram, dodge ram 1500, battery drain

Question
We cannot turn off nor know how to disconnect the after market alarm on our 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 .
We really would appreciate knowing what to do .
The battery discharging is awful.

Probably NOT THE PROBLEM!
All things being equal, and from past experience,
this usually ends up being a charging system issue,
not a car alarm malfunction.

Have a mechanic inspect this.

If it's after market,
Valet override (see past postings) would
take out the alarm fuctions, but
not repair a true battery drain, but if this
issue suddenly popped up, I would lean towards the
battery/alternator first. Alarms don't usually
cause troubles if it never did so in the past.
It's usually attributed to a low voltage problem.

Have this checked and let me know.
