Car Alarms: Car Alarm, honda accord lx, valet service

Question
My 1992 Honda Accord LX had an alarm system installed on it before I bought it. It worked fine at first, but now the passenger door doesn't work with it or unlock w/ the key. When the alarm goes off it's just silent, the red light inside my car blinks, which is hardly going to save me from car theft. And besides this, the alarm sometimes causes an electrical problem and my car won't start. I just want it gone could you tell me how to properly uninstall it?

Answer
Ok, alarm seems to be in long tamper mode.
Let's try to put it into valet/service mode.

Look under the dash area for a button or, a toggle
switch. When you locate it, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

This solves the problem for now.

Then if you want to remove it, take it to a local
after market alarm dealer and have it done there.

They may even be able to reset/reprog. the features on
the alarm you have, to allow you to use the system
more comfortably, but of course, your call.

Have a nice afternoon.
